This multi-author book is a response to the exhortations from Pope Francis to consider the Covid-19 pandemic as a sign of crisis in the current economic system, marked by unacceptable social inequalities and severe damage to ecosystems, yet also representing an opportunity to better understand the interconnected-ness of these systems and to envision new paradigms for their radical transformation. Our aim is for a multi-disciplinary analysis of the pandemic in order to expose the systemic features of this crisis, linking health in all its human and social dimensions with the economy and the natural environment. We also seek to envision new paradigms that support and enflesh the so-called "Economy of Francis," which posits a holistic vision of relations between people, and between humans and creation. Questo libro multiautore nasce dalle recenti esortazioni di Papa Francesco a considerare la pandemia Covid-19 come un segno di crisi del sistema economico attua-le, segnato da disuguaglianze sociali inaccettabili e gravi danni agli ecosistemi, ma anche come un'opportunità di trasformazione radicale. Si intende realizzare un'analisi multidisciplinare della pandemia per mettere in rilievo gli aspetti sistemici di questa crisi, collegando la salute in tutte le sue dimensioni umane e sociali con l'economia e l'ambiente. In questo modo, si intendono anche tracciare nuovi possibili paradigmi che possano supportare ed incarnare la cosiddetta "Economia di Francesco", che propone una visione olistica delle relazioni tra uomini, popoli e creato.
